Notice: I am researching the best breed to use in an intensive chook pen /vegetable garden rotation system. We are in northern NSW near Grafton.
The chooks will have a house and a home yard 20 x 3 m and they will "work" the 8 garden beds off the home yard the garden beds are 8 x 3 m and they will rotate through the system following the harvested crops and the area will be sown with new vegies when the chooks move on.
I would also like to preserve an old / rare breed I need active scratchers and good layers and my son is keen to breed and show and improve the breed.
I am after suggestions and contacts for breeds suitable and whilst we have kept chooks, ducks, geese and goats for years we have not selectively bred so we would love some support and a local mentor would be even better
Notice: Hi, I was wondering does anyone breed large blue leghorns in NSW?
If so how much?
Thank you.

Notice: I have muscovy ducks and drakes for sale. (young birds) ages between 16 week old to 3 month old. Many different colours, I have white and blue splash and black and white (magpie colour). From show quality birds. Would be great for breeders. Young healthy birds. Can deliver to Bendigo or Kyneton. But would prefer for birds to be picked up. I can sell them in singles, pairs or trios.
Notice: Looking for a mature peahen for our lovelorn male around 5 or 6 years of age. Live at Tamborine in Queensland. Please anyone with a spare female, Fran
